The reasons I’m conflicted

The private outdoor bath was incredibly peaceful, and the dining experience was delightful. Staff members were attentive, quickly preparing our beds and accommodating dietary requests. The serene environment truly felt like a retreat from the city.

Yet, while the location was beautiful, it felt somewhat isolated which may not suit those wanting quick access to attractions. The room was a bit cramped once we set up the futons, making movement challenging.

What a magical stay! The serene forest setting, complete with the sound of a gentle stream, created an unforgettable experience. Wearing traditional robes while enjoying delicious meals in our private outdoor onsen made this getaway a dream. The staff's exceptional hospitality and the beautiful surroundings truly stole our hearts.

The private onsen was a highlight after our day of exploring local shrines, and the sukiyaki dinner was a fun dining experience. A minor hiccup was the room being a bit on the small side, but it didn't take away from the overall enjoyment! 😊

However, I was a bit let down by how rushed the kaiseki dinner felt. All 11 dishes were crammed into less than an hour, which was a bummer! Plus, the food didn’t quite meet the high expectations set by the price tag – they definitely need to step it up in the kitchen.

While the kaiseki dinner was meant to be a highlight, it rushed through its courses, leaving little time to savor the offerings.

We loved soaking in the private outdoor bath by the river while watching the serene surroundings. The shuttle service made it easy to explore the area, and the food was truly exceptional, especially breakfast. It was a fantastic experience for our family with three kids!

In my wife’s opinion, the rooms would be more comfortable with space for kids to play.
